PLOT
The drama follows the struggles of nine female students at the Kisaragi School for Girls who organize a baseball team in an effort to compete against male teams in Japan's most prestigious high school competition, the National High School Baseball Championship. Their goal is to advance to the tournament's championship rounds, which are held annually at the Koshien Stadium. They are captained by Ryo Hayakawa, an elite pitcher who is the daughter of a former Japanese pitching sensation who was expelled from Nippon Professional Baseball.
